EVERYDAY FUN… our admission tickets include daily animal encounters where you can watch our birds take flight, get up-close to our deer, or groom a donkey! Check encounter boards around the farm for daily timings.
SEASONAL CELEBRATIONS… we embrace the changing seasons with our lambing event at Easter, tractor trailer rides in Summer and of course, the chance to meet Father Christmas in December.
EXCITING EVENTS… join us for special themed half term events, including our circus inspired Hogfest in May and Hogshaw School of Witchcraft & Wizardry at Halloween.

Join us for a magical Halloween day out this October half term! Follow our herbology tutor into the pumpkin patch to collect your specimen for decorating, head to our magical classroom to try your hand at potion making, visit Teeny Trinket for a magical show and look out for curious creatures, along the way! For a fantastical Halloween day out, with pumpkins, potions, creepy crawlies, owls & so much more....head this way!
Christmas at the Farm
Father Christmas is visiting us at the farm again this year and we can't wait! He's flying in to spend time with you and your family and hear your Christmas wishes. We are so excited to share our magical winter wonderland with you, and really hope you'll join us (and the big man!) for an extra special Christmas event this festive season. Probably picked one of the worst days of the summer, weather wise, but with the appropriate clothing, available hard standing paths and undercover entertainment it was a great afternoon to keep our two grandchildren (and son and daughter in law) amused, with a great selection of animals, birds and activities.. Spaciously set out and well maintained.
Me and my wife visited today for the first time. We thought the place was really lovely. There are a lovely variety of animals and a beautiful children's play area. Special mention to Catherine for the deer and bird events, she was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food whilst pleasant enough, is not the cheapest it must be said, however there do appear to be plenty of seating areas where people could sit and eat a packed lunch.The only thing we would say was a bit of a negative was an over zealous team member (volunteer we think) who approached rapidly on a buggy and questioned us in a bit of accusatory manner within the first 5 minutes of us entering over some litter that had been left there. The litter was not ours, we had only just come in and had brought no food or drink with us and whilst we don't condone littering anymore than this young lady does, her approach left a lot to be desired. Overall it is lovely place that we would definitely recommend to others and we also think has the potential to be somewhere that could successfully be visited by those with significant additional needs also.
We go to Hogshaw regularly as we have our yearly pass. Highly recommend for a great day out. So much for the kids to do!

Amazing family day out with our 14-month-old daughter. Loads to see and do. Recommend getting an animal feed bag, so you can interact with the animals, particularly the goats! Free parking, great cafe, outdoor and indoor play areas. Very welcoming and friendly staff. The deer feeding and owl talks were fantastic. We went on a Friday so it wasn’t as busy as I imagine it gets on a weekend.
What a most wonderful place to visit. I had a Mother and daughter day and we enjoyed it very much. The staff are friendly and helpful. The cafe is great and very reasonably priced. Will definitely be visiting again.
Hogshaw Farm is spotlessly clean, beautiful, and has fantastic playgrounds. The exotic animals are well cared for, super active, and you can see them really close up. Staff are friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. A must-visit!
