The Christmas experience was great this time around. The only downside to our visit was the pouring rain, but that can't be helped by anyone!
Always good day out. The Christmas event was much more smoothly run this year as less long queues through the lead up to santa, elves all friendly and felt slightly less busy on our time slot compared to last year (although fully booked)
We went to see Farmer Christmas at Hogshaw Farm today and it was fantastic! We live locally and love going to the farm but thought we have not been to see Father Christmas there for a few years. It was the most magical morning, Father Christmas knew my daughters names and took time to talk to them both, we took our own pictures and videos while in there and Father Christmas' Elves even took photos for us and they were also amazing. We did not feel rushed at all while there and it's the best experience we have had for years and would highly recommend. We will be going again next year as it was just so special and intimate. I will not forget the look on my eldest daughters face while Father Christmas was talking away to her... it really was priceless.
By far the best farm to visit for children and adults alike. A fair price for a huge amount of fun, activities, and animals, with friendly staff and good coffee! We've been a few times, and next time will be getting an annual pass. If I could rate it higher, I would.
Great day out despite rubbish weather. Staff very friendly. Attractions great…..including Father Christmas 😊👍🏻
I would love to give The team at HogShaw Farm and Wildlife Park more then a 5 star rating as the experience we got on our visit was truly amazing nothing seemed to much from the moment I phoned to ask a question to the moment we left. The entire team made the day and experience that will never be forgot and made the day truly special for the children. Would highly recommend going all ready checking dates for our next visit
It was lovely to feed the young goats. The sand pit was fantastic. It kept 3 generations of engineers busy!
Great place tbh. But watch the soft play area as it is in need of some tlc.. its not that soft in places unfortunately and my littleun came away with a war wound. Nothing drastic but hopefully the farm owners will see this review and respond accordingly and let you all know they are addressing it.. (feel free to reach how @hogfarmfarm and I'll let you know where to look) Apart from that minor issue it was superb, everything else is well kept and clean and super fun.. all in all a great day and we will return regardless.
As we arrived, I didn't think it looked quite like the picture from the outside, definitely has good photographers and social media making the place look like new. It could do with a bit of sprucing up. However, we did enjoy the activities available throughout the Halloween event, pumpkin stickers, potion making, watching the creatures talk and getting hands on. The ladies and the one man that were doing the activities and in their fancy dress were brilliant. The playground and soft play is great, although again could do with some upkeep, as well as the wildlife area being more inviting, as it looked a bit of a mess! But overall and thinking through the eyes of a child, it was a good place to go for a few hours, but glad we attended when an event was on.
Loads to do, especially for younger children under 10 or so. Recommend. Bring spare clothes as water pumps, fountains etc to play with.
What a great selection of animals! The bird display is definitely worth booking for, and it’s included in the ticket price! The cafe at the entrance was also great, nice decor , clean, and the cappuccino was really good. Thank you!
My daughter had a lovely time at the farm. She enjoyed looking at the wildlife area, the “pets corner”, feeding animals in the barn, playing on the play equipment, the jumping pillows and sand pit and soft play. Lots to keep kids occupied for hours. Café looks nice but didn’t eat there this time. Visited again at Halloween and again had a great time: wild birds display, pumpkin decorating, potion making, creepy critters plus all the usual, such as the bouncy pillows, ride on tractors and sand and water play.
The animals on the farm at a little underwhelming as they are all clearly well fed and not that bothered by being fed by you. However the rest of the facilities are great, soft play, multiple outdoor play areas, sandpits, climbing frames and bouncy pillows. My 3 year old loved his day playing outside in the autumn sunshine. Would definitely recommend for the child play facilities as stated maybe not so much the farm animals.
