customer reviews
Fantastic for kids. They love it here
Great place tbh. But watch the soft play area as it is in need of some tlc.. its not that soft in places unfortunately and my littleun came away with a war wound. Nothing drastic but hopefully the farm owners will see this review and respond accordingly and let you all know they are addressing it.. (feel free to reach how @hogfarmfarm and I'll let you know where to look) Apart from that minor issue it was superb, everything else is well kept and clean and super fun.. all in all a great day and we will return regardless.
As we arrived, I didn't think it looked quite like the picture from the outside, definitely has good photographers and social media making the place look like new. It could do with a bit of sprucing up. However, we did enjoy the activities available throughout the Halloween event, pumpkin stickers, potion making, watching the creatures talk and getting hands on. The ladies and the one man that were doing the activities and in their fancy dress were brilliant. The playground and soft play is great, although again could do with some upkeep, as well as the wildlife area being more inviting, as it looked a bit of a mess! But overall and thinking through the eyes of a child, it was a good place to go for a few hours, but glad we attended when an event was on.
Loads to do, especially for younger children under 10 or so. Recommend. Bring spare clothes as water pumps, fountains etc to play with.
What a great selection of animals! The bird display is definitely worth booking for, and it’s included in the ticket price! The cafe at the entrance was also great, nice decor , clean, and the cappuccino was really good. Thank you!
The animals on the farm at a little underwhelming as they are all clearly well fed and not that bothered by being fed by you. However the rest of the facilities are great, soft play, multiple outdoor play areas, sandpits, climbing frames and bouncy pillows. My 3 year old loved his day playing outside in the autumn sunshine. Would definitely recommend for the child play facilities as stated maybe not so much the farm animals.
All of the staff were so warm and welcoming we saw the donkeys getting fed and the worker was so chatty and went through the life of the donkeys and it was lovely to hear how you work with the donkey sanctuary. The food was so good as well
Great day out for all ages
My children loved it was a great day ..photos courtesy of my 4yr old
I love bringing my daughter to Hogshaw I think it's good value for money. There is loads to do, good indoor and outdoor play equipment and I feel the animals are looked after well which is important to me.
We took our granddaughter with us, this is her 2nd visit, but this time she was walking so enjoyed it more & took a interest in the animals, she enjoyed the playpark, bouncing pillows & soft play area, we ate there & the food & service was really good, would go again.
Always such a wonderful day out. There is so much to do and see. We went this weekend on £5 tickets which is an absolute bargain, considering we spent the whole day there. I love that its first and foremost a farm - some similar attractions are really play parks with some animals shoved in a barn, but i feel Hogshaw gets the balance right. Brilliant food too - its great that they have two cafes, so when my elderly parents dropped in we could have a drink and cake in peace in the lovely quiet visitor centre cafe
This is definitely a place where you can spend all day, especially in the summer with all the outdoors activities that they put on. The kids love running around, bouncing pillows, climbing frame etc, soft play but most importantly getting that close interaction with the animals. There is such a variety and seems to grow with each time we go.
Great for kids, signpost to events pretty much non- existent. Lots of play areas, soft play and cafe. Animals, we hardly saw any, even though there are signposts to different animals. Reduced price meant the disappointment was limited, full price would have been less attractive.
We had a lovely day with our grandchildren at the farm. Just a few things that were a let down. Did find a lot of the animal/ bird enclosures empty, with no animals to see. Then the younger children bounce pillow which our 3 year old granddaughter loved. I know it stated children must be accompanied by an adult, but this meant there were six adults sat chatting on the top. So there was hardly any space for children to bounce. I stood inside the fence watching children struggle to find space to get to the top. I would like to give a mention to the young lady working on the till ,serving a long queue of people on her own with a smile and pleasant Manor.
