This is a great place for young kids. Have everything you need to entertain them. Softplay, sandplay, climbing frame, outdoor splash pool, and of course farm animals and an aviary. It has moments throughout the day where you get to feed certain animals and go on tractor rides. Has a good selection of food choices, prices are a little high but worth it. Staff seem all kind, friendly and helpful. I went with a 2, 4, and 8 year old and spent the whole day there
Packed full of things to do, especially for the kids. Attending the owl demonstration was brilliant too. On site café has a wide range of good food and drinks (some looked homemade). Really well priced for what is available. Could say the place is a hidden gem. Will definitely go again.
We had a lovely day at Hogshaw Farm yesterday. We booked the Ferret Experience and were lucky enough to be the first group to meet 5! (3 new ones arrived the day before) Niamh the keeper was very knowledgeable and friendly - she really made our experience the best! We will definately visit again soon!
First class operation with amazing animal care staff. I've never been disappointed.
Great play areas for under 5s and older children. Sit and ride tractors were popular. Good food and a large cafe. Good baby changing facilities. There are a lot of goats. The lynx enclosure seemed a bit small. We got to feed the deer. It was dearer than it said on the website - £17.50.

Great experience at Hogshaw Farm , this would be our third time coming here and 100% will be coming again as we have so much fun here. Me and my partner did the Reindeer and Sika Deer experience. Niamh who lead the experience was very knowledgeable and friendly.
Happy International Rabbit Day! 🐰 Rabbits are rather wonderful little characters, and there’s plenty we can do to help keep them happy and healthy. 🌿 Hay and grass should make up most of their diet, with plenty available throughout the day. 🥬 Leafy greens and herbs are a lovely addition, while pellets should only make up a small part of their diet. 💧 Fresh water should always be available, alongside plenty of space to hop, stretch, explore and forage. 🐰 And importantly, rabbits are social animals, so they need a suitable rabbit friend for company too. That’s something we’ve really considered with our new Rabbit Walkthrough. The space gives our rabbits the opportunity to display many of their natural behaviours, from socialising and grooming with their companions to foraging, exploring, digging and exploring. Here at the Farm, we have a lovely mix of rabbits, including Continental Giants, Lionheads, a Mini Lop, an English Lop and mixed-breed bunnies. So today we’re giving our own bunnies a little extra love and celebrating everything that makes rabbits such brilliant animals. FUN FACT FRIDAY 🦊 Red foxes are one of the UK's most recognisable wild mammals, but there's still plenty to discover about these clever creatures! ❓Did You Know❓ 🦊 Red foxes are found across the UK and are incredibly adaptable, living in a range of habitats including woodland, farmland and even urban areas. 👂 Their large ears help them locate prey, and they can hear small animals moving underground! 🐾 A fox's bushy tail, also known as a 'brush', helps with balance, communication and keeping warm. 🌙 Foxes are often most active at night, but they can also be seen during the day, especially when searching for food or caring for their young. Meet Demon, the new Portland Ram coming to the Farm soon! Despite having the name of a biker gang member, he’s actually a bit of a charmer. But there’s more to this breed than a very impressive set of horns. Here are a few fun facts about Portland sheep: 🐑 They’re a rare British breed – Portland sheep originate from the Isle of Portland in Dorset and are one of Britain’s oldest native breeds. 🌿 They’re wonderfully hardy – they were bred to cope with the exposed, often challenging conditions of the Dorset coast. 🍂 They’re seasonal breeders – unlike many modern sheep breeds, Portlands naturally come into season in the autumn, making them particularly well suited to traditional lambing systems. 🧡 Their lambs are born with a beautiful reddish-brown coat - which gradually changes to the creamy-white colouring you see in adults. And Demon? Well, he's currently on 'holiday' in quarantine but is settling in nicely. We'll let you know when you can come and say hello!
